Greg Fischer is the current 2nd term Mayor of Louisville, KY. As city leader, he is focused on building life-long learning, health, and compassion for the citizens of Louisville. He was named a 2013 “Public Official of the Year” by Governing Magazine, the only U.S. mayor to earn the distinction.

Before entering public service, Mayor Fischer was a successful entrepreneur who started several businesses including SerVend International and Iceberg Ventures. He also co-founded bCatalyst, the first business accelerator in Louisville. His ambition as Mayor is to combine a values-centered, service-oriented approach to leadership with the practices of operating a high-performance organization.
Among his proudest accomplishments: guiding Louisville to become the largest American city to sign the international Charter for Compassion and the creation of the annual “Give A Day” community service week that led to Louisville being named “America’s Most Livable City.”
